At Strategic Software, our services are designed around making software work for your business.
We believe the key things to make software work effectively are:
- Your staff are trained.
- The software does what your need it to do.
- Your processes are efficient.
- You get help when you need it.
- Your hardware and software are compatible and are working well together.
The end result is that your can rely on information from your software and get the key information you need when you need it.
Our management team now have access to accurate reporting that allows for informed decision making – both in terms of analysing past results as well as forecasting for the future. Other reporting allows us to learn from what has happened historically to be able to better manage upcoming trends / business challenges. In general, we feel much more in control of what’s happening in our business and where we can improve or maximise our offering.

Your Staff are Trained
- Are you team confident in their knowledge?
- Are you confident in both your own and your staffs knowledge?
In a world of ever changing technology, for a business to be successful, it is important that your team are efficient in their day to day processes. Ensuring staff are fully trained will help them be effective in their current role, but also give them the tools to help you take you business forward.
We are passionate about constantly learning and would love to help you team with their ongoing learning and upskilling.
Not only can we help with training on business management software (aka accounting software), we also have the skills and knowledge to help with other software, such as:
Software and Processes
Some key indicators that the software or surrounding processes might not be meeting your business needs are:
- Do you have handwritten forms that:
- Are then entered into software?
- Have the same information also written onto other forms?
- Is the same data is entered into more than one software package?
- Do you have lots of Excel spreadsheets?
- Is invoicing completed well after the sale or job is finished?
- Can you accurately measure how well your business is performing?
What can be done?
After a short discussion with you, we will make some suggestions - perhaps they might be:
- A few processes just need tweaked.
- Staff just need a bit more training.
- Add mobile apps.
- Add a custom application.
- Add some additional reporting or dashboards.
- Or suggest new software.
Jill at Strategic Software recommended and assisted us in reviewing all of our processes. “ABM was far more adaptable” and we would get “a far better result from ABM” including the very unique customisation that matched our business process. Being able to achieve the Job Costing alignment through the customisation was the critical factor in the decision to switch from our existing software.

Get help when you need it!
Technology is changing at a very fast pace and now programmes are often updated automatically for you. This continual change means that what worked yesterday, may not work the same today. It is important for staff to be able to ask questions when they need help, and get answers quickly. Being there for our clients is one of our key values.
Our support team are available by phone for the urgent stuff and by email if it can wait a little longer.
Support is very good! Instant answers to our queries, which wouldn’t happen if the staff at Strategic didn’t fully understand our business.

Software and Hardware work well together
It is also important that the software connects with, and works well with, hardware.
Printers, barcode scanners, RFID readers, mobile phones, routers, switches .....
These are all very important in making software work for your business.
Getting advice on all things IT is important
- Do your IT people talk a different language?
- What specs should my hardware be?
- Are you confused by your software?
- Should I be in the cloud?
We consider Jill, and the team at Strategic Software, to be trusted advisors and to give us unbiased and consistent advice.
